Science Week!

Our EYFS pupils enjoyed taking part in Science week, they made marvelous medicines, learnt about health and unhealthy foods through The Very Hungry Caterpillar and investigated skeletons. Excellent work from super scientists!

During PE, Tabish used his hands and knees to crawl through the caterpillar tunnel, with some physical support to help T form the hands and knees position, and with initial verbal encouragement to crawl through the tunnel. T was then able to crawl independently, forwards and backwards, and repeated this activity a further two times independently demonstrating growing confidence.

S watched as a picture of a butterfly picture was drawn using chunky chalks. The writing pattern “curved” was verbally said out loud as the wings were drawn. S was then handed a chunky chalk. He independently drew curved lines resembling the letter C formation onto the floor. S repeated this writing pattern on several occasions, until a large area of the playground floor was covered. S demonstrated a good understanding of the writing pattern, by only creating curved lines and circles.
